Properties at Current Value Assessment Tax Level
In 2009 the Province enacted legislation that gave Municipalities authority to pass a bylaw stipulating that properties which were at CVA Tax in 2008, or that would cross over CVA Tax in the following years, could be excluded from the capping calculation process. Property tax classes included in the capping process are: Commercial Industrial Multi-residential
The Town of Gananoque has passed such a bylaw - please refer to current year's Final Tax Levy Bylaw in the Bylaw section of this web site.
